HVAC acquisition tracker

A carefully sourced starter collection of public HVAC transaction announcements. Understand buyer activity without mistaking undisclosed terms for valuation evidence.

A source trail, not a league table.

This initial collection includes three primary announcements chosen to illustrate residential services, commercial mechanical contracting and platform formation. It is not a complete market database, annual transaction count or current buyer mandate list. None is represented as a Sunny-advised transaction.

What this data can tell you: who announced an acquisition, which company and market were named, and whether terms were disclosed. It cannot establish an undisclosed price or multiple, predict your valuation, or confirm a buyer’s current appetite.

What an owner can learn.

Nick's Plumbing & Air Conditioning

The announcement says the local name will continue. Brand continuity should still be negotiated in your own deal.

Collection standards

Each record uses an original company announcement. Dates refer to the announcement, unless a source explicitly identifies a closing date. Transactions are recorded once by target and event; later financing or ownership events should be separate records. Missing financial terms stay undisclosed.

The current sample spans 2019–2025 and has no statistical coverage claim. A future annual report should expand the dataset, publish inclusion criteria, resolve duplicates and identify the denominator before drawing market-wide conclusions.
